Leaders Are Energetic, Enthusiastic Believers!
Leaders are energetic, enthusiastic believers! Great leaders are those who know that:
1. They can't do it alone
2. They truly believe in their purpose, mission and life
3. They communicate their message energetically and enthusiastically
A mom who adores her child and who passionately believes in her child communicates her belief and love through her words, deeds and teachings. She is rewarded with a loving, giving, disciplined adult son or daughter.
An energetic and enthusiastic business owner or manager who believes in and communicates about their product, their mission, their people and their value and seeks the assistance of talented, passionate people is rewarded with sales, high profits and a great team.
A community leader, who truly believes what their community could be, sees the potential of the people, resources and land. When they communicate their message energetically and enthusiastically, they are rewarded with a positively transformed community, willing volunteers and financial support.
Each of us are great leaders. Each of us knows deep down what we need to do. We may pooh pooh the message. We may have convinced ourselves, or allowed others to convince us, that our dreams are too big, our desires too lofty, the barriers our children face are too challenging.
I believe that we are capable, worthwhile, responsible and loveable, and that no situation or person is TOO HARD to overcome.
What holds us back, you and me, is fear. Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of being laughed at, fear of the unknown, fear that we will self destruct and the list goes on and on.
The greatest fear, is that if you truly allowed yourself to believe and went after your dream you might find that there isn't anything on the other side and that you 'wasted' your time.
During the holidays we saw children believing in Santa Claus and we all knew that at one point in their lives they would learn that Santa Claus was not 'real'. Somewhere along the way many people took that message to heart. They think “Just like Santa – my dreams aren't real, my potential isn't real. I'll be disappointed, so why bother?”
Hey…you're disappointed anyway, aren’t you? Do you wonder what life might have been like? Do you wonder what you might be doing right now if you went after your dream? Do you wonder if there is something more than what you have? Do you wonder if --- this is it???
If you are having any of those thoughts, then it is time to get out your leadership manual…your owners manual.. and take a hard look at yourself.
Start being a leader in your own life.
Lead with GUSTO.
Live with GUSTO.

Follow the lead of leaders:- Ask for help. You can't do it alone. (Read the Try it Section for more ideas)
- They truly believe in their purpose, mission and life. Study and learn how to believe, build your faith in your purpose, mission and life. If you don't know what that is go back to step one.
- Communicate your message energetically and enthusiastically. The more you speak it the more you will receive it. (Read the Kick Butt it Section for more ideas)
This comes from my own personal experience. Once I made the decision to be a leader in my life. I changed. As I've changed, taken risks, sought advice and help, reached out, read books, built up my courage and taken action I've reaped rewards. All of the scenarios my fears had me imagine never panned out. Each time I took another courageous act that sent chills up my spine I was rewarded with growth, prosperity, joy and love. I never received my fear scenarios. Granted, I often didn't get what I said I wanted but I also didn't get what I feared. I ALWAYS receive what I need. ALWAYS!

Try-its:- Ask for help. You can't do it alone
- If you are thinking of opening a business go to the Small Business Administration, local college, local women's business center, your local chamber of commerce and ask for help.
- If want to be promoted to a new position or new division learn as much as you can about the skills needed, the people involved and the culture of the division. Then go about learning, and mastering the information and connecting with the people. When you show interest in the field, in others who work in the field you then become interesting to them.
- Want to be a better parent, read books, attend parenting classes and ask people who have raised children who became outstanding adults
Make sure the people who give you advice have accomplished what you dream of accomplishing. Remember who you hang out with and who you learn from are reflections of your future.

Kick-butt actions:- Communicate your message energetically and enthusiastically.Speak your message; find others who are going after their dreams so you can share your message with each other
- If someone shoots you down keep on keeping on. It isn't about them…this is about YOU! Your actions and your thoughts are what drive your destiny…not their actions, thoughts or words!
- Talk to yourself! That's right. Talk to yourself in the mirror, while you're driving, or while you're walking. Talk your message energetically and enthusiastically. I wear a headset when I'm driving or walking. What people don't know is that often I'll be giving myself a motivational talk about my work. People that see me talking think that I'm on the phone. I actually talking to my head set. I'm setting my head straight.
